Founded in June 2009, Southern Illinois Roller Girls (SIRG) is the first and only all female flat-track roller derby league in Southern Illinois. Our mission is to actively provide and sustain an environment in which courage, mental acumen, and respect is developed and fostered in tandem with vitality, athletic ability and physical strength, through the spirit of good sportswomanship. SIRG is a full member leage of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) as of January 2012.

The Southern Illinois Roller Girls foster community outreach by supporting local charities through fundraising and volunteer services. If you think you would like to join The Southern Illinois Roller Girls please contact us, we are always looking for new members to our organization. There are a variety of ways to be involved and SIRG is open to anyone regardless of gender, race, or sexual orientation.

Special Olympics Illinois is a not-for-profit organization offering year-round training and competition in 18 sports to a community of more than 55,000 traditional athletes, Young Athletes, Unified partners, coaches, volunteers, and more.

Special Olympics transforms the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, allowing them to realize their full potential in sports and in life. Special Olympics programs enhance physical fitness, motor skills, self-confidence, social skills and encourage family and community support. This global organization that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sport, every day around the world.

Special Olympics began in Illinois with the first games at Soldier Field in July 1968 thanks to the efforts of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and her peers. There are now more than 6 million athletes and Unified partners in 170 countries. Special Olympics is financially sound with diverse revenue streams, a thorough annual budget process and increasing organizational revenue streams. Special Olympics Illinois does not charge athletes or their families to participate in the program.

Take Action Today Inc is a 501 (c) not-for-profit aimed at growing recovery resource capacity in Franklin,  Jefferson, Perry, Williamson, and Jackson Counties, as well as throughout Southern Illinois. As a Recovery  Community Organization, we work to advocate for the needs of the recovery community on local, regional,  

state, and national levels, develop training opportunities for people in recovery, and create service opportunities  for people in recovery to give back to their communities.  

TAT is committed to the development of the Peer Recovery Specialist role and delivering non-clinical support  services that help to increase a person’s chances of successful long-term recovery. Our vision is to create a  vibrant, grassroots recovery community that fosters long-term recovery in the lives of those at risk of/or  experiencing substance use and/or homelessness. Our mission is to provide peer-based recovery support  services to people seeking recovery from lifestyles of substance use and/or homelessness.

We are a community of many ages from 0 to 94 with vibrant programs for kids and youth. We are neither a big nor a small church. You could eventually learn all of our names. We believe church is far more than an hour a week in a pew. To that end, many of us volunteer, both inside and outside our church, and participate in the service through music and A/V.
